Metsän reunalla portti (A Gate at the Edge of the Forest) is a photographic exploration about the relationship between contemporary humans, nature and Finno-Ugric folklore. In a society shaped by rapid change, how do we position ourselves in relation to inherited ways of understanding the world? The work explores the shifting distance between past and present and the perspectives traditional knowledge can offer.
